January 2020 Changes at IMLS

This blog post is all about the changes at IMLS that will take effect on January 1, 2020. Please note that some of these changes are based on third-party information, others on IMLS Board decisions and votes. Our goal as always is to ensure our members have access to the tools they need to be successful while providing excellent support and customer service.
NAR’s new “Clear Cooperation Policy,” was passed and goes into effect on January 1, 2020. This policy is about listings being publicly marketed, triggering the requirement for that listing to be in MLS.
Office Exclusive Listings:
An Office Exclusive listing cannot be publicly marketed or shown outside of the brokerage. Once public marketing begins, the OE must be entered as a traditional listing, within 1 business day.
*Additional information on Office Exclusive Listings will be sent in a separate email*
IMLS will again align with NAR’s policy and require New Listings must be inputted within 1 business day after any marketing and/or advertising begins.
Note: Business day shall mean Monday through Friday, excluding Saturday and Sunday and excluding holidays as defined in Idaho Code, Section 67-5302.
Lockboxes will now cost $120 + tax available for purchase at the IMLS office during business hours.
Agent/Listing Transfer Fee:
The transfer fee will now be $35. If you are transferring to another office, you may need to fill out and submit additional paperwork along with the Agent/Listing Transform form. Such as the Input Security Application, Assume Identity, Team Setup, and Admin Application (if you have an admin and they are following you over) forms.
Reinstatement of services due to suspension will increase to $50.
IMLS will no longer be issuing new XpressKeys. By September 1, 2020, all members will need to be using the Supra eKEY. If you currently have an XpressKey, you will be receiving a separate email with additional information.
