CBS Code for your Lockbox

Need your CBS code? Here's how to get it!

CBS Code: Call Before Showing Code.

The CBS code allows the listing agent to control KeyBox access by requiring the keyholder to call for authorization before opening the KeyBox.

If the CBS code is active in a KeyBox every keyholder must enter the CBS code into their key before accessing the KeyBox.

Certain affiliated keyholders (i.e.: Home Inspector) ALWAYS need a CBS code to access the KeyBox, even if CBS is set to off.

What is the CBS Code on my Keybox?

You can see the CBS Code on your keyboxes by checking your Keybox Inventory in SupraWeb.

Keyholders can enable, disable, and change the CBS Code and Shackle Code with their eKey app on their phone, ExPress Keys do not have this option. You need to be at the box to make those changes.

WHY NOT HAVE THEM LIKE A APPRAISOR?????

Unlike appraisers, home inspectors are not eligible to be members of IMLS or a local REALTOR board.  Also, they are not licensed in the state of Idaho.  The decision was made to issue affiliate keys which offer added protection for both the listing brokerage and IMLS.

Is there a way to change all office lockbox CBS codes to the same 6 digit #?  Just for ease of reference?

So, the listing agent must go to the lockbox to turn on the CBS code for the home inspector, then go back out to the lockbox to turn it off if that listing agent doesn't want agents having to call each time to show the property, for example "Vacant use lockbox"?

Kristin,
The CBS code can be changed, but you have to be AT the box, and it can only be done with an EKEY, not an Xpresskey.  Or, you can bring the lockbox by our office, and we can change the CBS code here.

Paul,
You do not need to turn the CBS code on or off for home inspectors.  They have a specific kind of key that requires the CBS code to open the lockbox, whether or not you have enabled it.  Agents will only have to provide the CBS code.
